Horrible experience. After my original advisor at Northwestern Mutual left, I was assigned to their Director of Client Relations, Channing Kill, whose sole responsibility was to ensure I had proper advisory support going forward. Instead, I was left effectively unmanaged, my portfolio turned negative, and every attempt to seek help was met with deflection and indifference. When I called for assistance, I was told to contact the home office myself, and when I asked for any form of escalation, Channing was dismissive and appeared more interested in ending the call than resolving the issue. I read reviews online before getting life insurance from Northwest Mutual. Terrible reviews … I said, probably true for all similar types of places. Nope Northwest Mutual is just that bad.

Northwestern Mutual is here to make money at your expense. It's as simple as that. The team at this location in particular are very successful and are excellent sales men and women. Unfortunately it's not to your benefit because their go-to product, Whole Life Insurance, it's so wrapped up in complexity and mystery that you don't understand what a terrible product it is. The owner of this location truly is one of the most convincing and crafty salesmen I've ever met - think Leonardo DiCaprio in Wolf Of Wall Street. He sits in his 27th story office and drives around in his Mercedes AMG while ripping off naïve college students. Please save yourself.... read full review
