I hired Country Maids for an initial clean which they charge per hour. They me quoted 3 hrs for two people (charging 6hrs) and said it could be a bit more since it was the initial clean. I ended up having to ask them to leave after 4.5 hrs when they had only partially cleaned one level and had barely started the other. While they were here I contacted Sheryl and her solution was to have them spend more time cleaning while they continue to bill me for it. One of the worst cleaning experiences I've had. Borderline a scam. Hired them for an initial clean quoted at 3hrs for two people, which is pretty typical for a house like mine, and ended up having to ask them to leave after almost 5 hrs, when they had only badly cleaned the upper level and only just started the main level. I would have understood 4hrs for cleaning the whole house properly, but even the upper level bathroom floors hadn't been done. Called Sheryl, and her solution was to keep them there longer, while charging me per hour, to complete the work. I asked how it could take two cleaning professionals 4hrs to clean an upper level (4 bedrooms and two bathrooms), and no explanation was provided. I ended up having to hire a different cleaning company to come finish what they started.

I requested one person specifically who I was referred to for cleaning. Two people showed up, and I thought maybe they were training or splitting the pay or something. I didn’t think anything of it. They did a good job and were at my house for 3 hours. I got a bill for double the amount I was quoted, around $300. I was shocked, and contacted Sheryl. I explained that I had no idea they were sending two people or why. Sheryl told me that I was charged that amount because two people came, and if it were one person it would have taken 6 hours.
