In town for the weekend from Northwest Mn. We decided to eat here. The fish and cheese burger baskets were really good but the Caesar we ordered was awful. I don't know what was in it but it did not taste good at all, rancid even. I wanted to exchange it for something else but hubby didn't want me to make a scene. He tried to drink his and gave up after a few sips. We left mine full and his almost full on the table.

As with most VFWs (I feel & hope) the food was good & plenty. My mother had the liver & onions; she said it was VERY good. I'll have to take her word on the liver... Drinks are a fair price, the meat raffle is fun & the quality of meat was good.

Hat off & a full salute to the Menahga VFW! Our first time visiting Menahga VFW for "TWINGO" KDLM Detroit Lakes Radio station premonition. They were prepared witha a special "TWINGO" menu & community help to serve the 200 people who showed to play. They were a bit overwhelmed but managed to sort things out to get food & drinks delivered. A big thank you to the cooks & teens in the trenches of the kitchen for their hard work & determination to deliver! 2 bars & table serve for beverages.
This is had a northwood update with pine log interior & home spun feel make everyone feel welcome!
