I grew up with JCPenney as a staple in my life. It was a place where we could always get the basics and more. It was a place where you could usually count on being able to find an entire outfit including shoes in one store. I've given the Mankato JCPenney store several chances since moving here a couple years ago and I've left disappointed every time. The choices are so limited, the sizes aren't in stock, and the store layout is chaotic. I can't blame the employees because they are always friendly and helpful. Only complaints would be there is only 2 fitting rooms for everyone. Also staff does not pay attention so there was a pair clearance pair of pants that got mixed in with my sale jeans so I didn't get the discount.

The store opens way later than the rest of the mall which caused me to spend more money at other stores, the nerve. They had everything that I needed for my toddler and myself in the clothing department. Employee that I encountered was friendly and efficient. Discounts all over the store which is always a win.
