“Can't recommend Annie enough! If you've been on the fence about getting electrolysis for your unwanted hair, just do it. You'll feel better. I know this because I have been blessed with a creepy stache ever since puberty, and had always wanted electrolysis but was apprehensive about it - the cost, any side effects or reactions my skin might have, etc. Annie was great about explaining the process and reassuring me that the redness from the procedure will fade within hours. She is one of the sweetest and friendliest business owners I've encountered as well, and that will also put you at ease! Allure is located in a single office suite on the lower level of a building called Midway on Greeley. The room is comfortable and nicely decorated and Annie is professional. No need to worry about botched services here. Prices are reasonable compared with other places I've seen too. Annie will make sure you get your money's worth and is an honest and generous person. She has even thrown in little bonuses for me like a tiny take-home jar of special lotion to ease the irritation after electrolysis, or a quick treatment for my acne while I was there for electrolysis. Electrolysis - especially on the upper lip - can hurt like a mother, but the topical numbing gel and soothing lotion Annie uses make it a little easier. It may look like your face is super red and irritated afterward, but not to worry. I've never had that last more than a day. And although it takes a number of sessions to get rid of all the hair, I noticed a difference after just a couple sessions.“

“I had to find a new stylist because mine moved away. I took a chance and made an appointment at Tangled Salon & Spa. Today was my first time there. My stylist was Serena. I was very nervous, especially because I have longer hair. I was first greeted by the very friendly and kind front desk gal. Then it was time to go back with Serena. I only needed to talk to her for a minute or two about the cut. Then I showed her a picture of the hair color (highlights & lowlights) that I had in mind. She only needed to see it for a few seconds. I have been to MANY spas in the Twin Cities area. I've found most are staffed with early 20 somethings with flawless skin who probably have never had a zit in their lives. These are not my people. Jayme is an expert at what she does. I found her about 6 months ago and have never looked back. Here are some things that may be helpful to figure out if she is right for you:
1. Location: Not the trendiest spot, but conveniently located off 94 in an office building where parking is never a concern. BFF is located right inside the front door. The space is large and where treatments are done is very comfortable and spa like. She has 2 golden retrievers (one puppy!) that are in the space. I thought that was weird at first, but the second treatment starts, they are invisible. They are also adorable. But if you don't like dogs or have an allergy, note this.
2. The services: I always get a 60 minute custom facial and leave feeling restored and rejuvenated. Jayme looks at your skin and treats your face accordingly with high quality products. The highlight of the session (for me) is the extractions. I don't know how she does it, but she goes to WORK and the next day my face glows.
3. The products/prices: She uses Dermalogica which are high quality products that I have had to buy several of myself because of the results. I don't know anywhere else in town where you can get this kind of personalized/customized treatment and results for $100.
