My husband and I live down near Madison, Wi but recently bought a smaller 2 bedroom home near our daughter in Duluth's Lakeside area. We needed a 1/2 bath put in the basement. My Duluth piano tuner tuned me in to Vesel Construction and they were easy and very reliable to work with. Once we signed the contract we had to interact primarily remotely...[due to 2 knee surgeries and 2 electrical issues with our truck] so we never got to to see what was going on till we made it up to Duluth to view the final project. Wow it was great. Dan and Mike were easy to work with and so helpful. Also I was worried to see what kind of mess they might have left. Well no worries. I actually joked about hiring them to clean the house because they did such a great job of leaving our house in good condition. So, for context I am 53 and am -7.75 in both eyes. I have been wearing thick eyeglasses since I was a child. Over the last few decades, I spent thousands of dollars on eye exams, eyeglasses, and prescription sunglasses. I can’t even remember how many times I lost pricey prescription sunglasses in the ocean. I was hesitant to go with Lasik given my age and strong prescription. I went to Weis Eye Center earlier this year for the free consultation and felt extremely comfortable because of their no pressure attitude and state-of-the art facility. Dr. Weis and his team were very knowledgeable and kind. He opted for a PRK surgery as my cornea was too thin for Lasik. They say, “you regret the things you don’t do”. I regret not doing this sooner. I spent the summer splashing in the ocean and lollygagging at Florida beaches. Nothing beats the feeling of walking into a gas station and grabbing a cheap pair of sunglasses, knowing you won’t feel bad if you lose them in the ocean!
We hired to create an outdoor space that involved less mowing, and by doing so created a space that feels like another room to our house. We love the work that Troy's crew did. Nice, clean and professional guys. We had input and Troy listened to our concerns. Can't wait to do phase 2!

Lakeview Exteriors removed and replaced 10 windows in my home; 7 were upstairs windows and 3 were basement windows. The folks at Lakeview Exteriors are fair in price, refreshingly honest, and very professional. Chase, the owner, is fantastic. I plan on using them for a number of other projects including replacing an exterior door, designing and installing a backyard deck, and possibly replacing a garage.

Very down to earth Vet, staff, and vet clinic. We were so grateful they were still accepting new clients when we adopted our cat during the pandemic.
Many other vet offices were full and had long waiting lists, and we knew we needed to get annual check-ups and vaccinations for the newest member of our household.
Dr. Shirley, Jake, and Nicole have always been very kind to us - even when they are very busy. We get appointment reminders on postcards in the mail every year- great reminder to schedule for annual checkup. They also do their best to call a day or two ahead of your appointment to make sure you remember and are still able to make it, even if that call is at the end of a long day for them.
Prices are very reasonable, and Dr. Shirley utilizes his excellent bedside manner with our cat as well as answering our questions and having a realistic outlook on what's feasible and best for our pet companion and us and the relationship we have together.

Laura was wonderful to have the day of my wedding. I had booked a different salon that I was going to have to travel to on the morning of my wedding. I decided to start looking around to see if I could *happen* to find a different salon that could come to me at our venue. Ihana happened to have a cancellation on our day (a popular one too -- September 28) and happily took my 3 bridesmaids and I. Laura was bubby and conversational, and did a beautiful job on our hair based on our inspo photos.
Dave and his team at northstar insulating have done a number of spray foam insulation jobs for us. Himself and his crew are very knowledgeable, polite, professional and take a lot of pride in their work. They stand behind their work and fairly priced make them our one stop shop for everything spray foam! We are very happy with their work and will continue to use them in the future!
Our back yard tends to retain water. After learning this, their people have done a good job of keeping their equipment off of the wet areas. They always check the yard for hazards before applying fertilizer. Their fertilizer/weed killer mix has done a good job on our yard.Service: Weed control
I am giving 5 stars for Ms Ashley.. she was my daughter’s first therapist 7 years ago and she set the bar very high in means of care. She was very professional. She was so kind and the way she connected with my daughter was just amazing. Ms Ashley helped my daughter through some very tough times and some pretty great times in her life. As my daughter was looking for a therapist Ms Ashley just happened to pop up. It’s wonderful to see she is continuing to spread this knowledge and care to others as she did my daughter!

Went to visit a friend was so welcoming and clean. Medical Veronica C DNP was very professional took time to explain situation prognosis and diagnosis and provided a good plan of care. I was so impressed not only is she so beautiful outside & inside also. Makes me feel better knowing my girl friend is there with excellent care.
Our Golden Retriever Henry was a patient at Airport Animal Hospital for six years, ever since we moved to Duluth in 2018. The vets and staff at AAH are all fantastic. Henry was always so excited to go to the vet and was always so happy to see everyone there. We were frequent visitors due to many recurring skin infections, and we always felt like Henry had great care and all of our questions were answered. AAH also helped us navigate the process of having a fairly large cyst removed from Henry’s back leg, which included a referral and surgery in the Twin Cities.
Unfortunately, we had to put Henry to sleep a few days ago, and AAH was incredibly compassionate throughout the entire process. They made us aware of all of our options and made sure that we were able to do all of the necessary tests to put our minds at ease that we were making the right decision. Henry had hemangiosarcoma with swelling around his heart, so he was very weak and lethargic, which was completely out of character for him. Nevertheless, he perked up and wagged his tail every time a doctor or vet tech walked into the room during his treatment, a testament to how safe and cared for he felt at Airport Animal Hospital. AAH made this incredibly difficult time a bit easier by being compassionate and caring, including fielding some follow-up questions after the fact with incredibly quick response times.
We are very grateful for Airport Animal Hospital and the high-quality care they provide. When it’s time to welcome another dog into the family, we will definitely be returning as customers/patients.

Great place! Nate worked on my Subaru, explained everything he was doing along with suggesting other options that the car could use maintenance wise, and let us know the price for everything that came up. They are fast and efficient and I will definitely be coming back!
