Finding the right therapist is a critical part of a person’s healing journey. After attempting therapy in a clinic setting with a very structured approach, I found myself completely disengaged. Although I knew exactly what to expect every session (read from my journal, watch a video and get a homework assignment), after just a few months I checked out.
