The gal did a great job in terms of cutting but said nothing to me the entire time I was in the chair (after explaining the cut)—talking is not a requirement, I get that, but being personable can make guests feel welcome. “FIVE-PLUS STARS!! I can't say much about Regis Salon (went once and paid wayyy too much for a simple layered cut that wasn't really what you could call 'layered' at all), but the new Uptown Stylists Salon is AMAZING! I have twice been to high-end salons - one in the Twin Cities and the other out East - where I paid (in what would be today's $$), hundreds of dollars. Indeed, Uptown proved better than either of them. Uptown's proprietor, Amber, is a class-A artist!! I didn't realize until after my appointment, when I glanced in a window and saw that I didn't resemble Lord Farquard's double and instantly feel the need to go directly home, that she actually listened to what I was trying to express as far as what I would like /needed done with my hair.
