“I hired James earlier this year to replace flooring and a door in my basement bedroom that I wanted to convert to a home office. From the beginning, James was professional and courteous, and his communication was excellent. I am a female and in my thirties, and home remodeling of any kind is not in my realm of expertise, so I really appreciated that James explained things to me thoroughly without being condescending. He gave me a quote upfront and stuck to that price. He also put me in touch with one of his vendors so I could pick out the flooring, and I was very happy with that company. James and his brother removed the old carpeting and installed the new LVP flooring and it turned out perfectly. He also went through the trouble of finding the office door that I wanted instead of me searching for something on my own. I had done my research on the door I wanted, and what James found matched what I was expecting in looks, quality, and price. He also kindly gave me advice on some things I decided to tackle on my own (caulking, sanding, etc.) and that was appreciated. “In 2018 we chose Tomco’s bid to completely gut and remodel our basement. We obtained multiple quotes for that work. Although Tomco was not the lowest bid, it also was not the highest bid. We chose Tomco at that time not only based on price but also because of the detailed plans he presented to accomplish the work. We were delighted with the finished product and have since hired Tomco to complete the remodeling of our house on the main floor and loft. Tom took our basic ideas and expanded on them, providing us with excellent recommendations and solutions to problems that other contractors would not tackle.
