We recently adopted our incredible dog, Denahi—now renamed Monty—from the Scott County Humane Society, and I cannot recommend this organization enough! From start to finish, they exceeded all expectations. Their team is passionate about connecting pets with loving families, and their process is seamless and thoughtful.

After several failed attempts at winning the dog adoption lottery - I found my best girl at Carver Scott. With other pets in the home, I couldn’t adopt a dog without extensive knowledge of their behavior, so I’m grateful that CSHS places their dogs in foster homes prior to adoption. The application process was seamless, and when I missed out on one of their posted dogs, (2nd applicant), they were quick to connect me with Thelma’s foster family. From there I was able to get a look into the kind of pup she was - what her needs were and if I was a fit! I’m so glad I didn’t give up, and I’m grateful to the volunteers and foster family that made this match possible.
Couldn’t have asked for a better place to adopt my kitty! Now named Nyx, we adopted her last November and per her estimated birthday on her records, she has just turned 1 years old today! Last year, Tom was super helpful with the process of meeting and adopting Nyx (Previously named Elvis Presley) and we immediately fell in love with her spunky personality. She’s been a hoot since and adapted really well, not afraid to show her feelings.
