So many older adults have life threatening injuries from falls that I feel it is critical to address balance issues while one is still able. Having had multiple head injuries over the last several decades, the injuries healed but my balance remained off. After testing and finding challenges in all three balance-related areas, I went through thorough treatments and therapies to address and significantly improved my balance. I want to thank all my therapists (especially Samantha Buhmann, OTR/L) for working with me to improve my balance. I can now stand on one leg for a minute or more and, as a result, hope to live a longer, healthier life. Thank you.

(Posted on behalf of my mother-after her experience with NDBC) Many thanks to Alex and Erin (Blaine location) for all the time and effort this past year given to help and encourage me to overcome my dizziness and disequilibrium. I was able to see steady improvement over the months that they worked with me. I’m 95 years old, and saw deterioration in my balance due to many factors (eye problems, foot neuropathies and inner ear) related to age. It’s such a blessing now to wake up in the morning clearheaded and able to navigate my daily life with more confidence. So grateful that my advanced age didn’t put me on the shelf! Thank you!
