My son in law had a camera and was able to visualize it but needed a grabber tool to retrieve it. “First, we have a family of six and having no working toilets is NOT an option for even a day. I did my best to clear the clog with the snake I had. But a man has to know his limitations, I was trying to slay a dragon with a butter knife. Mike answered the phone at 6pm and was here within the hour as promised. I told him what wasn’t draining, and he got right to work. He put down drop clothes to protect the carpet and used a deodorizer that left the laundry room smelling way better than he found it. An emergency service call is never cheap but this was less than investing in my own machine and so much easier. I will definitely call M&B again should the need arise.“

Then two weeks ago I phoned Neil from Abel plumbing because my garbage disposal wasn’t working and wouldn’t drain. He so kindly helped me over the phone to try to fix it. After a few attempts he eventually diagnosed the problem. Fortunately he worked me into his schedule within a couple hours and came over with a new disposal and installed it.

“The tech was very knowledgeable and polite. He even put on little booties over his work boots. He looked at both issues and gave me great recommendations. He said our pressure tank was starting to go out but said it will go a bit longer. He didn't pressure me to replace it now. He said he will work on a quote and if the company can install it to call them back. He asked a couple of times if there was anything else he could check while he was here. I did ask about some faucets and he assured me they were fine. He even gave me tips on DIY projects! Very nice. The only downside today was their large window of arrival time. But everything worked out.“

“I waited a long time to find out why when I opened the inside valve water gushed down the inside wall and not to the outside faucet. I suspected a burst pipe which was the fault of the previous owners had not shut off the water properly. It requires leaving the outside open and shutting the inside closed. Simply turn it off at the outside faucet leaving water in the line. This is recipe for disaster in Minnesota.

Within three days Christian was out and found two areas with burst pipe in the line. He corrected the problem changed the slope. Even showed me where the bleed valve on the inside shut was to further evacuate water during the winter shutdown. Professional. I could not be happier with the results.“
