My wife was transferred to austin hospital from the albert lea er i spent all afternoon and evening try ing to get ahold of a nurse or anyone that could tell me her condition. Its now 10 ;30 and no one is answering the phones. the operator isn't able to get anyone to call this is inexcusable i have never been this mad in my whole life.I AM WORRIED SICK AND THIS HOSPITAL SHOULD BE TORN DOWN
Would be less than one star, if possible! This place is the absolute worst. My mom had to go in for an emergency 45 minute gallbladder surgery and we heard nothing until we hunted down a wandering nurse who did not want us to be waiting in the patient's room. We were supposed to be "in the waiting room". Once we found someone with somewhat of a pulse, we were taken to ICU where she was being sent to recover from the surgery. Throughout the 2 1/2 hour wait, the different nurses did the - "I don't know, we haven't received report yet. You know, sometimes things take a little longer". Mind you, the nurse failed to even pick up a phone to check but stood there and looked around like it was her first time in the unit. I would recommend finding Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman prior to stepping foot in this place. We were not allowed to be with her while she recovered but had to wait in a 150 degree waiting room and watch Ridiculousness only to be forgotten again. So much for quality care from Mayo!!
Went into the ER Dec 2017, saw Dr. Paris for less than 15 minutes ended up with a bill of $657.27. Told them to file with my insurance in January when i got the original bill, and received the same bill again today that is passed due, again not filed with my insurance, but they were able to update my address when i called to have them file with my insurance. During my visit, i was i forgotten in my room by the staff for an hour. Dr. Paris came in for 2 minutes to apologize and told me they had forgotten about me and they were going to get my out soon. I then had to remind my nurse of orders that Dr. Paris had put into their system because they were going to send me home without giving the medication that was ordered. I emailed [email protected] and hope to get an answer to why i have to pay more than my co-pay.
