“I have a real PHOBIA of dentists which mostly stems from childhood of the numbing agent numbing everything else in my mouth except my tooth that they were working on! Talk about torture! See I have very poor enamel and it does not matter what I eat or how many times a day I brush and floss, my teeth just easily get cavities and rot away. I had 4 wisdom teeth taken out, I believe at an oral surgeon in Rochester, where I was awake for it but they numbed me up properly and it went really well. A molar I got removed a couple years ago at an oral surgeon's place in Owatonna was a horrible experience where I paid over $400 for a tooth that I felt EVERYTHING as they ripped it from my mouth. That experience stuck with me and so I was putting off going to a dentist again until I absolutely had to because I had broken teeth and bad infection and gum issues that were starting to affect my life. I was crying and shaking because I fear dentists. After doing a google search and looking at google reviews and seeing what the dentist websites said I finally settled on trying out Fountain Lake Family Dental here in Albert Lea. They have been the kindest, most understanding place I think I have ever been! From getting x rays to doing deep teeth cleaning to getting 2 teeth removed it has been a very good experience. I was, as you can imagine, I was scared to death when tooth pulling day came because they said they would make sure I was numb before they pulled teeth and that it would be ok but I have heard those exact words before and it wasn’t that in my past experience at another facility. Well here they were true to their word, the teeth were truly numbed and they asked to make sure as they went through the process plus they did a really good job keeping me calm during the whole ordeal also. This is my dentist I will go to from this point on and I will refer anyone looking for a good one to this place. THANK YOU for being such a great place!“
