I've been a member here since 2022, all I can say is positive things, rather it be the past or current commanders and past or current auxiliary president's. I believe this post is home, I have rented,volunteered and been apart of many parties in the hall room, regards to Karen, I would say she's the heart and soul of the post, rather it be the hall or member side. This post is one of the best in the United States regardless of the comments the "Ramo's" have recently stated. I'm not sure what has happened but if I had to guess you violated your hall room policies.When it comes to the club room side, the veterans of foreign wars does more for the vets and the volunteers...read full review

Whether you are eligible to become a member or just lucky enough to visit, the administration, auxiliary, and staff at VFW 1136 will treat you like family from the moment you walk in the door. They feature Karaoke and the ACE of Spades drawing on Friday nights, summertime classic car shows on Thursdays, bands from the area, and community events all around the city of Wyandotte. On top of all of that, the post was just selected as a 2023 All-State VFW post. No better place than VFW 1136!

Wonderful place to grab some food friendly environment ,downfall is if you're a civilian or not a member you are not allowed to just go in and enjoy some of their amazing food .......
