The installed a heating system in our new house. It it has never worked properly. Some obvious problems were they installed a four zone Honeywell controller but there were five zones in the house. a cold air return in a closet, a heating duct in a closet , a heating duct that's closed off because of insulation . When we try to cool down an upstairs bedroom the entire house gets cold before the bedroom. I'm not a contractor so I'm not sure what the ratio is between supply ducts for heating or cold air and the cold air return. It seems like there are not enough cold air returns.
