Shopped around after retirement, found Vern at Edd’s Barber Shop, and been a customer for 20 years!!! Best haircut and very nice to have an appointment and no waiting. Moved to Northville but still drive to Southfield for the best haircut in metro Detroit!!! Nice, relaxed atmosphere in a low-key environment of a one-chair shop with reasonable price.Service: Scissor cut

Excellent place for a haircut and Beard trim. The barber took enough time make my hair and beard look the way I wanted it and even suggested his ideas to make it look better. Highly recommend this place.

I used to live in Southfield and got my hair cut here all the time. I moved to Royal Oak 2 years ago and I tried almost every barber, including Detroit Grooming, local barbers, Art of Shaving, and Lady Jane's. Vern at Edd's barber shop has always done the best job out of any barber, and I will be going back to him from now on even though it's out of the way. He is very meticulous and takes his time to give you the best haircut. He prefers appointments because it is just him there and he takes his time with his customers to do a good job. He is reasonably priced (much cheaper then Art of Shaving and Detroit Grooming) and he gives the absolute best hair cut.
