Absolutely terrible. Do NOT use them. They don't know the difference between the US Military and Federal Law Enforcement.

They filed my tax return incorrectly, leaving me receiving an unforeseen $2,000 tax to the State of Michigan.

Their reply was "it was a mistake, we should have caught it, we have a division of people to check for these things, but we missed it".

So I asked for a refund of my payment. (Approx $295)

They were only willing to give me $29 which was what the State of Michigan was charging me in interest.

I am absolutely livid with these people and we will see if they even do refund me the $29. They have my payment info.

Poor communication. I had an interview with Mrs. Meredith to discuss my taxes in the beginning of March. She stated she would call me back to see if she could find a way for me to receive a larger refund. When the taxes due date was coming up, I called multiple times to see if she found anything or if she would just submit my taxes as they are. She NEVER called me back. I ended up going into the office a few days before the due date and she said that they were completed. A few weeks later, my parents, who had an interview the same day as me, got their taxes back. I waited almost two months later and I ended up calling asking when I will get them back and receive my refund. I don't understand why my parents' taxes were finished and given back to them when theirs were more complex and we had an interview the same day. Each time I called she kept telling me they have been submitted and they will be done soon. The last call I made( two months after going into the office to ask if they were done) she said she might be able to find a way to receive a larger refund. Now if this was months before than I would have loved to hear that. I told her I am not waiting any longer and if they are complete I want to pick them up now. I did not trust her to keep them any longer. It ended up costing $250! I Was going to ask for a discount since I waited so long and she failed to communicate with me properly, but instead I just wanted to get my taxes and leave. I ended up finding out that the taxes of customers who received refunds are not due on the due dates taxes are scheduled to be submitted! So instead of making that clear to me, I ended up worrying for months if they were finished on time. There were some personal issues she was dealing with, but that does not mean she should lack communication with her customers. Just because we pay someone to do our taxes, does not mean that we should then be kept in the dark about are taxes.

If I could give this place zero stars i would. Do not go to this place for taxes. They refused to give us a price because we had to call back with my child's ssn so they could complete the forms. The price somehow tripled from the time we went in to the time we got home. Unacceptable customer care. Save yourself the time and money for a place that charges almost 400$ to complete and file 4 tax forms. Our preparer also said "she didn't even charge us for stuff"..but when we asked exactly what she didn't charge us for her response was, "I don't have time to go over all of that with you."
