I have always gotten excellent care at Saginaw Valley Equine Clinic. The entire staff there is great, very compassionate and knowledgeable. Melissa Aceto is our vet for our horse and many of my friends horses. Melissa takes her time to explain what she is doing and why, she goes above and beyond to treat the horses and make sure they are comfortable and that the owner’s are comfortable. I can’t say enough good things about this establishment and Melissa and her coworkers. I know I’m not the only one that feels this way.
Everyone here was wonderful; unfortunately I did end up making the decision to euthanize my mare. The team went above and beyond expectations to do everything they could to help her. I had to make this very difficult decision after a week of treatment for Colic with no signs of improvement. I was 8.5 months pregnant, so my emotions were at an all time high. Dr Callie I can't say enough great things about. She even found it in her heart to bring me closure, by doing an autopsy and letting me know my decision was what was best for my horse Misty because of all the damage already done to her organs due to severe sand impaction.

We have been clients of SVEC for many years and have always received high-quality care with excellent transparency in cost. The vets and thier staff provide very good education and review of diagnostic and treatment options. I appreciate that they do client education events, support local community programs (they offer their own scholarships and support local exceptional rider programs) and that they work with veterinary students.
