Thankfully, Ryan was able to get nearly all my files back while also being very communicative about the process. He was also significantly cheaper than Micro Center - which quoted me a high flat rate to just diagnose the problem, not fix it. Lastly, he offered us new storage solutions so that this will never happen again.
