“*** FIRST PHOTO WAS NOT DONE FROM THIS SHOP!!!*** I am a hardcore avatar fan since I was a kid and wanted a little tattoo for my obsession. My first tattoo from a different shop had me legitimately ill over how it turned out. So I researched another place to hopefully make it something I’m happy to have on my body, and came across hand and heart. For starters, I’m a socially awkward and anxious person and get very uncomfortable easily. I walked into the shop for my appointment and everyone happily greeted me and were so welcoming. My artist Jay was so kind and continuously asked how I was doing and if I was okay. I could’ve cried out of happiness for how it turned out. I didn’t know what to expect with what she was starting with and she exceeded my expectations above and beyond. I will be coming here for every future tattoo and recommending them (especially Jay) to every single person I know. A huge shout out to this place for making this the perfect experience!“

“My friend and I did a stay at the room here that was listed on AirBNB, which also gets you free admission into The Schvitz as well during your stay, so it was really cute! The room itself (a bedroom and a living room space) was super cutely decorated and the perfect amount of room for the two of us doing an overnight stay. The overall Convent space is pretty interesting and unlike anywhere I've ever stayed before. The downstairs space is a very large rooms/event spaces that are all decorated with bits of art from local artists that you can purchase and is independently run from the AirBNB. There was an event they were setting up for in the downstairs space for later that evening when we showed up and I believe the event happened and was taken down in the span of time it took for us to go out to dinner and come back, so that was interesting lol! The upstairs space is a long hallway with various different businesses in rooms on either side of the hall, with the high majority of these businesses focused on holistic healing and arts. My friend and I took advantage of our close proximity to these businesses and booked individual sessions with an energy healer that did energy readings of us, which was very enlightening for the both of us! The bathroom for the AirBNB is communal and located at the end of the hallway on this second floor closest to the AirBNB, but I assume that everyone in the building can access it as it has two stalls, two sinks, and a shower if you're so inclined as well. All in all, it was a good experience and I'm glad to have done it, but I don't know that I would personally do it again. I felt a steady level of anxiousness the entire time I was here, which I'm not entirely sure where that came from, but I think I could just chalk it up to me being in a space where I didn't feel completely safe even though there wasn't anything specific that made me feel unsafe here by any means. I just felt a tiny bit on edge the entire time I was here.“

“I absolutely love traditional tattoos and after serving in the military and getting away from military towns it was very hard to find an artist and shop I would give my business to. A family friend had recommended Martin at Grand Blvd Tattoo and I’m glad he did. Absolutely amazing establishment. Martin’s communication and professionalism leading up to my appointment is second to none. He answered all my questions in a timely manner and at this point I knew I was in good hands. Appointment day, I show up, explain what I want and he worked with me making sure what I envisioned was what I got. The shop environment is very warm and welcoming, the staff there is friendly and Martin was as professional in person as he was via messaging. Very clean place, very by the books in terms of set up, sanitation and tattoo aftercare. I always respect artists who respect the craft and take pride in their work. This place is second to none and i absolutely have no problem going back for the rest of the work I get over my lifetime. “I had the absolute best experience with Stevie! I was nervous about getting a tattoo after losing over 150lbs- that my skin might not be in good enough condition to do anything. She gave me great advice about placement and helped me pick out a meaningful tat to celebrate my progress. She has a great, chill, and friendly vibe. I couldn't believe how quick and painless it all was! Compared to my other two tattoos done on the other side of the state- absolute night and day difference! We found her through a personal recommendation and I feel like I need to send that friend some flowers to thank her! Everything was clean, all safety protocols were followed, and extremely affordable too! Book early because she gets busy- but for good reason! She's amazing!!!!
