“After moving to Petoskey in August 2018, I asked my coworker for an eye doctor recommendation. According to her, Dr. Powers was the best - and she was right. My entire life I had always gone to a very quiet optometrist who made me feel awkward and nervous (and apparently I had never received some of the regular tests for eye health either). Dr. Powers is the total opposite: he's very funny and social, and he knows how to make you comfortable. He's smart, conscientious, and always listens and I believe truly wants the best outcome for his patients. And he's incredibly efficient with what he does! The other staff and receptionists are great - friendly and on top of things. They get you in and out of there as fast as they can, even with proper spacing/sanitation during COVID. They let me get trial pairs if I run out of contacts before my next appointment, which is amazing. They really know their customer base and that vision care is expensive. I've been going there for 4 years now without insurance and I don't expect that to change. Thank you for great service and for making eye appointments actually enjoyable!“
