On New Year's Eve I took my vehicle in for an oil change. I met Mike the owner. I felt they were very thorough with the oil change and the check list inspection. I was wow by them being very honest about what I may need next time but it could wait . No update pressure! I felt like Mike and the other technician were very knowledgeable, very honest and very friendly. I had mentioned that I awhile ago had bought an in cabin filter and just hadn't changed it yet. They asked if I had with me and offered to change it for me. At no charge!! Seriously who does this? So after the oil change and check list inspections of more things can I can count, they asked me to start the car. Well here's where I need to say that my amazing, reliable equinox is a little older and well over 100,000 miles (she don't tell my 4-wheel baby I called her old ) so anyhow my car started acting like it wanted to stall and the service engine light came on. So Mike and the technician throughly went back through everything that had been done, even recharged the oil and filter in case that for some odd reason was causing an issue. (At no additional charge.). I kept telling them that I didn't think it was anything they had done. I told them o would go drive it around for a few to see if it would work itself out. Well after about 10 min I had an unknown caller. It was Mike! He was just making sure that I was ok and not stuck in the side of the road. When that wasn't resolving the issue he immediately got on the phone and called a garage to see if they would check out the service engine light to see what was wrong. They couldn't get me in until the next week. A few days later Mike called me to see how it was going, ask when I was going to the shop and asked me to let him know. What owner of a business goes to these lengths to help a customer with something that wasn't their fault or responsibility. And sure enough he called again after the shop looked at it and I assured him that what they found had nothing to do with oil change. He still wanted to help make sure I was able to get the problem taken care of and kept in touch until it was. This whole experience showed me that not only is Milan Victory Lane a knowledgeable, honest over and beyond customer service shop to get my oil changed but the owner cares about his customers above and beyond the oil changes and making money. They have a customer for life!!
