This morning I went to my 1st apt with my new Primary Care Doctor. My current Doctor was moving to a new position. When I arrived, I was asked to fill out a paper with a list of cold symptoms. I was at the tail end of a cold so I was honestly, I still had a bit of a cough and runny nose but no fever. I was brought into an exam room when a woman entered and stated that because I had cold symptoms, I would not be able to be seen. I was flabbergasted. You will not see me because I have a cold? She explained that I might have Covid or the flu. I told her that I had Covid in October, took a Covid test this week and it was negative. I explained I do not have the flu because I do not have a temperature. She left the room to consult the “office manager” who in the end said I had to make an appointment for another day. I will not be making an appointment for another day. I will not be going back to this practice at all. Neither will the other 3 members of my family because I was the guinea pig for the new practice and they are not up to our standards. We require our doctors to see us from time to time when we are sick. We also want a compassionate office staff that is accommodating. This office lacks medical care AND a solid office staff.
