Emerald Hills Golf Course & Tavern, located in Historic Marshall, Michigan, has reopened under new ownership and management. All 18 holes are available to the public, making it a fun destination for golfers of all skill levels. The course features four different tee boxes to accommodate various talents and has been noted for its excellent condition and well-placed pins that offer a risk-reward challenge. Although the 8th hole has been modified from a par 5 to a par 3 due to condo development, much of the course remains unchanged from its previous name, Alwyn Downs. The Tavern, open year-round, serves food and beverages, including a full bar, making it a great spot to relax after a round of golf. With friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere, Emerald Hills is becoming a popular choice for both league play and casual outings. The venue has also hosted events, such as weddings, where the staff has received praise for their service and the wonderful food. Recently held my wedding ceremony at Emerald Hills. It was a small family gathering. The tent set up with tables, chairs and linens. It was large enough to also have a decorated arch and seating for the guests during the ceremony.

This is Marshall's Best kept secret! I didn't know it existed until it was recommended by a friend, and I am so glad she recommended it! The food is amazing. I was impressed with the environment as well. It's a nice, relaxing place to go for a great meal! I ordered a salad and I was absolutely impressed. It wasn't just a bit of lettuce with a few ingredients sprinkled on top. It was an actual salad with the ingredients mixed thoroughly. I took a friend here for her birthday lunch and I was very impressed. I highly recommend.
First time here. Die hard golfer. The course needs work, fertilizer. Straight forward, muni style layout. Large hardwoods and pines separate meandering holes. Fairways and greens were looking good for this time of the year. Kinda shaggy. The white sand bunkers are a nice touch, if there was actual sand in some of the empty hollows. $22 for 9/cart seems high.
