“I needed my sewer pipes replaced and rerouted, so Swick arranged for Smith to do the excavating. Rick and his helper (I’m sorry, I can’t remember his name) did my work, and they were amazing. They had to dig up my entire driveway to lay the new pipes and I watched most of it because it was interesting. I couldn’t believe how precise he was with the bucket, and how hard his helper worked, down in the hole, doing some shoveling by hand, and helping direct the bucket at times. These guys worked HARD.The ground was frozen more than we expected since it’s been fairly warm for awhile now, so they had to really work hard to break through the thick frozen dirt. They even dug up two giant boulders and asked if I wanted them in my yard. (I’ve got rock gardens all over my yard.). He picked them up with the bucket and placed them right where I wanted them. They were also patient with me as I grabbed rocks that I wanted to keep out of the dirt that they had dug up.And they’ll be coming back in the spring when the ground has thawed and settled, to put a load of gravel in my driveway, which was previously just dirt. I’m really happy about that.Rick is so knowledgeable that I felt secure in knowing the job was getting done right. They are such nice guys, answering my questions and joking around with me. I would definitely use them again, if I needed excavation work done.“
