Not knowing contractors in an area can make it challenging to know if you're going to get good work done, and if you're going to get a fair price. Curtis was great at keeping communication open and responding to emails or phone calls to make appointments work, as well as being flexible when other contractors made things challenging to work around. He's honest and straight forward about what his pricing is, and what type of work will be done as well as if there are any challenges that could potentially come up. Most Importantly, his work is impeccable. He painted the wood siding on our dated home, repairing woodpecker damage, dry rotted flashing, as well as the chimney chase. and it all turned out amazing. Because of his attention to detail, we asked him to come back and paint our kitchen cabinets with an industrial grade paint to ensure it was a durable finish and he knocked it out of the park. Contacted Tom about refinishing our homes floors and possibly fixing the squeaks and creaks that were becoming unbearable. Tom responded quickly and came out to look at the floors and knew just what had to be done. From that initial visit he was able to come up with a timeline and quote that worked perfectly with our needs. Tom and his team had to remove each board, number them and reseat them this time with glue and proper clear nails and lay them back in the same pattern. A time consuming process. Despite all the meticulous work, they were able to beat their timeline by 3 days and give us a floor that looks beautiful and no longer creaks. After receiving several quotes for generator and installation, this company came up with the best price. The job was scheduled and completed much quicker than I anticipated especially since it was dead winter. They coordinated all the different utility companies and the whole process from ordering to install was less than a month.
I would highly recommend Amy's Cleaning! First time I've ever had someone come in to clean my home and they did a fabulous job. Really took so much off of my plate as I never have the time to clean all those hard-to-reach areas. As a bonus, they worked around my two dogs, which I was so worried about. They are so easy to work with and communication was great. I will definitely be using them again in the future!

I had gone to the Mancelona area on vacation, and brought my dog Polly with me. It had only taken a few to realize how much of the stuff I wanted to do, just couldn't be done with her in tow. So, I took a day, and put her in the daycare. This place was amazing. I was shocked at how clean everything was, and how hard the owner worked at keeping everything perfect. I picked up Polly in the evening and she seemed to be both happy and worn out, as I'm certain she was doing much running and being a dog.
I'd give this place a perfect rating on the Rikki Recommends scale... So if you're looking to have a bit of vacation to yourself, or you just need a break from Fido... Check this place out.
I was having difficulty with my propane heating system. I called M&M. The service man said he was busy for the next week but asked me to describe my problem. Over the phone he diagnosed it for free. A very nice value course. The first hole made us question if the course was going to be interesting as it’s pretty flat and open, but by the third or forth hole the scenery really great great and very Northern Michigan in style. Can’t speak to the back nine as we only had time for the front but a great deal.
We noticed on a Friday evening that our well pump was short cycling. I waited until they were open on Monday morning and they called me back right away after getting my message. By Tuesday afternoon they were at my house to diagnose that the pressure tank was leaking and causing the well pump to short cycle. Today, they had the tank replaced and fixed well before noon. They worked fast, was incredibly efficient and were pleasant to talk with. They were polite and answered every question I had. Needed to replace my old mini split heat pump. Selected Top Notch even though the original company is still in business because original company wouldn't reply to my phone messages requesting service. TN agreed to a first meeting at a convenient time for us (our home is over 2 hours away from our cottage), and actually arrived 10 minutes early. Todd was very professional so our decision was easy. The formal quote was emailed that afternoon. Two days later an installation date for only a week later was agreed upon. The very professional, efficient, and personable installers showed up 15 minutes early. In addition to cleaning up the inside installation they offered to vacuum the carpet they had walked across! In my long lifetime I have worked with many suppliers, and Top Notch is in my top performing group. We highly recommend them.
