It took me a few months to leave this review because I wanted to come down from my Anger to see if I still felt the same. I'm still just as angry. I used to love D'Adamo but I blame them for the death of my 1.5 year old cat. I brought my sweet kitty there to be spayed. Apparently, she had a bad reaction to the medication. I don't know exactly what happened however, the following days she was not eating. I called them every day and I brought her back in on a Monday when her spay was Friday. They assured me everything would be OK and they used the phrase "don't worry she will get better". She did not get better and I had to put her to sleep. She was not eating and apparently if they do not eat they go into kidney failure. By the time I brought her to another vet, she was already in severe kidney failure and there was no coming back. They knew she wasn't eating when I called them Saturday after her spay on Friday. I brought her back in Monday where I reiterated to them again that she was not eating. They gave me a medication to put on her ears to spark eating but by Wednesday I brought her to another vet and on Thursday she was put to sleep. They should have told me on Saturday that it was a big deal that she wasn't eating and had me come in that day to get the medication and checked on me again Monday. I am incredibly disappointed with their post op care and will never bring another animal to them. They offered to pay for an autopsy but I didn't do it because it was a selfish gesture for their own curiosity. They killed my cat due to their negligence on a standard surgery assuming she would get better. I feel that had I brought her in telling them that she wasn't eating (without having the spay at all), they would have treated it much differently. I have shortened the actual story because it is long but there were 4 total vets involved and they all agreed I should have been informed of how severe it is when a cat doesn't eat for more than two days.
love this place! during all pandemics they helped me put my PEPSI to Heaven! Now they are taking care of my Sergio! I finally got to met the Doc! They are the best! Sarah was great with my pup! Doc was awesome!!!
My cat injured his paw during the week and it got very severe on Friday night. I called D'adamo Saturday morning before they opened, and by 8 am Lisa was calling me back, assuring me they could get me in, even though Saturdays are reserved for appointments. Her kind voice was so good to hear, and better yet, my cat got to see his regular vet, Dr. Adzigian, who is our favorite. She is kind, informative, thorough, and always seems to make things better for him and he has quite a history coming to D'adamo. I always refer people to D'adamo if they are looking for veterinary services for their pet. They always call back promptly, they are always pleasant, and they really try hard to work in you when there is an emergency. They have an awesome staff there and I wouldn't take my kitties anywhere else
