The resort does not have bathrooms available on the golf courses, which has been a concern for some visitors. While the staff is friendly and accommodating, some guests find the rooms outdated. Bathrooms require updating, and some rooms lack microwaves. The WiFi works adequately, but the resort does not offer cell service. The breakfast is good but costs extra, and the buffet-style dinner has limited options and can be bland. This was our first time at Garland Lodge. We were there to celebrate the New Year with family. We had no idea what to expect from this Lodge other than our family members who had been there prior absolutely loved it. This Lodge experience was so wonderful! Everything about this place was incredible and top notch. We met so many amazing staff members who were so friendly and welcoming. They truly made our stay even more memorable. Staff members who made our stay so special were, the head security person “Roach” so very personable, attentive and kind. Tiffany in bar/dining, such a sweet, attentive person, Ashley also in bar/dining, very friendly and all around wonderful waitress. Brian Higdon who took special care of our brother who needs help getting around due to medical issues. Was a pleasure meeting the GM of the Lodge Dave Jr. and his wife. We had such a wonderful time together and the staff absolutely made our stay so special! Thank you for the hospitality and memories! Hope to make this place our destination for all of our future New Years celebrations!
The courses are absolutely gorgeous and you can tell that the staff cares about you being satisfied. Everyone asked how we were doing, if we needed anything. They even checked multiple times on us golfing to see if the pace was good for us or if people were holding us up. ( Which for our group we like to sit back take some swings and enjoy the scenery) but it was still nice for them to check on us. The rooms were great, beds comfy and clean they have a little patio to sit out on and take in the view. Tons of wild life while on the course and unbelievable how quiet and pieceful it was. To all the staff thank you. would highly highly recommend.
We enjoyed our 30th wedding anniversary on Sunday in the grill area! We had the Elk medallions and the Soy Lime Salmon both were delicious!
