“Joe is just the best. If you hire him, listen to him. He doesn't miss and he will tell you the truth. Our house sold on the first day and we were extremely happy with our offer. He has supported us time and time again. Saying that someone goes above and beyond seems so cliche, but it's just what he does and he does it with grace. He's our favorite realtor and how a great friend.“

“2024 update

My wife and I have retired to NC. To sell the home we bought using Lisa Fletcher, we used Lisa Fletcher as our realtor. Same impeccable service, transparency, and integrity as before. She knows the area and has superb contacts. I highly recommend her.

Two years ago, I was commuting from southwest MI to the Lansing area for work. My wife and I were considering moving. Our daughter and youngest child was a junior-to-be in high school , and she told us the move was ok with her.

We did some realtor research and found Lisa Fletcher. She drove us around the area in her Enclave, patiently gauging our wants and needs. We didn't have our house on the market, but Lisa kept working with us over several visits to the area.

We saw and learned enough that, once we had our daughters ok, we put the lake house we'd owned for over 20 yrs on the market.

It didn't sell that summer of 2015, and when fall came, our daughter decided she wanted to finish high school where she'd always gone, so we took the house off the market, and I kept commuting. Lisa Fletcher wished us well and said she'd help us when things worked out.

Fast forward 2 yrs to the present. Our youngest was heading to college, and my wife and I were excited to put the house back on the market and move. We'd found a house online and called the realtor listed on the website.

It was a beautiful home, and we made an offer that next day after the visit. The offer was accepted, and we put our home on the market again. It didn't sell right away, and the sellers didn't want to extend our contingency offer, so we called Lisa to find us a home.

We started our Enclave tours again, picking right up where we left off two years ago. Lisa's commitment of her time and resources was outstanding. Over several tours, we narrowed down our list, but didn't feel comfortable pulling the trigger.

Meanwhile, our house sold, and the owners of the house we had offered previously on through another realtor contacted us with an offer to accept at a reduced price. Lisa not only wasn't upset, she offered advice and did some research on the deal for us, knowing the there wouldn't be any commission in it for her.

That deal fell through, and with our house sold, we went back to work with Lisa. She kept showing us beautiful homes until we found "the one", where I am composing this recommendation.

Would we recommend Lisa? Enthusiastically and without reservation. Lisa showed us the area and many homes, without our home even being on the market in 2015. She put her own interests second to ours, and even helped us on a deal that would earn her nothing. She persistently tried to match a fast moving market with our needs. And through all of this, she kept her professionalism and even more important, her sense of humor in tact. We could not have asked for more, and would recommend Lisa to anyone looking for a home in the Lansing area.

“OK, so let me tell you a story. I had an agent that I was using because he was nice and we were friends. I used him for about a year. He would get me maybe one or two viewings a month. After a year I realized I had the wrong person. I found Lisa after seeing her at a showing and liking how knowledgeable and positive she is. She is very eager to sell and has all kinds of techniques that she uses that the other real estate agents don't know or use. Needless to say, as soon as I signed her, she had people going through my house immediately. I would guess at least four showings a week. It took her about a month or maybe three weeks to sell my house. I could not recommend a better agent and will use her every time. If I could rate her 100 stars I would and she would deserve every one.“

Hagan Realty, Inc. Real Estate

“Hands down the best people to rent from in EL as a college student. They are super laid back and kind people who see you as an actual person and not just a money bucket. They take care of things promptly when you bring them up and charge you fairly. I subleased partway through the year and it was a super easy and straightforward process. Also they’re super helpful on the phone- we called a few times through the year with questions or to sort things out and they were awesome. Ive gone into the office too- they’re really just good people running this. I think it’s two brothers.

I’ve only heard nightmare stories about renting from DTN (the other big renter of houses and apartments in EL), but I’ve never heard anything bad about Hagan. I’ve also rented from an individual (not a business like Hagan) before, and I had a better time with Hagan because as owners of more properties and dealing with more renters, their processes are very streamlined, straightforward, and they have things like lawn services and people who shovel the sidewalk outside the house. They also were attentive to us, answered quickly, and responded to issues fast. Not having to mow the lawn, or shovel the sidewalk in the winter is so nice. And our house had a shovel provided so we could do the driveway. It was good. And for a college house, it was actually pretty nice inside (shoutout 226 stoddard!). I will say as a general rule for anyone moving in anywhere, take photos before you move in of the whole house, just so you’re not charged on the security deposit for something that wasn’t because of you. We didn’t have issues with that at all, and they walked us through all the items on the deposit return and what they were taking and why. Also clean the house before moving your stuff in- I honestly don’t know how much they’re cleaned from the last tenants, and then you’re relying on the last tenants to have actually cleaned after moving out. So just a heads up there. But overall phenomenal experience renting from them.“
