Doja had a poor response to her previous vaccines. This was documented in our post-visit call. I loved this was reviewed before her appointment, and as a result, was pre-treated for nausea. She did fantastic this round!

“My dog had split his toenail and the ER vet recommend I take him into my regular vet the following day if he's not in any pain. I tried going to my original vet place but they only accepted walk ins and I couldn't risk waiting another day for him, I called around and discovered the Byron Center Animal Hospital. To my surprise, they got me in within the day and had him immediately treated. They were very caring, gentle and sweet to my dog. They also answered any questions I had in a kind and patient manner. I do like how they do a follow up call and see how your pet is doing after the care, payment wise they also have options to help you apply for carecredit so you don't have to foot the entire bill upfront. I highly recommend this vet place!“

When we first moved to Grand Rapids our dachshund developed an issue that required surgery. They did an excellent job diagnosing the problem. They put her on a special diet, and our dog has done perfectly well since then. The vets at Bridges are warm, good doctors, and just terrific people. The staff are very nice and funny. I couldn't be happier. We love Bridges!“

“I absolutely LOVE this veterinarian’s office!!!!!! My vet retired and I came here on a referral from a dear friend. I have a 4 year old frenchie with skin allergies and he has had some issues with pulling a muscle in his neck. Always terrified it could be IVDD , vets were thorough in their exam and confirmed it was just a pulled muscle to which they quickly addressed and my guy was back to his spunky fun self within less than 24 hours! They are very friendly, they do not over analyze and try to persuade you to spend unnecessary monies, their office is immaculately clean and inviting. I’m so happy to have found them!!!“

“Dr Heather of Blue Lake Animal Hospital is absolutely the best vet I've ever taken my animals to, in a lifetime of owning animals. She's kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable.“

“Over a holiday weekend my cat became incredibly sick and in visible pain. I took her to an Emergency Pet Hospital instead of Family Friends urgent care, I wish I had taken her to Family Friends in the first place!! The hospital misdiagnosed her with pancreatitis and sent me home with a large bill and a dying cat.

As she was obviously still in pain and vomiting the next night I began searching for another vet who could see her as soon as possible. At 3am I was able to use Family Friends online booking service to get her an appointment for 8am. They were incredibly kind and understanding and were able to quickly find out that it was an item in her intestine and not pancreatitis. They performed surgery the same day and I was even able to bring her home that night!

I am forever grateful to them for their transparency, empathy, and efficiency. Everyone that I interreacted with was great, their pricing was reasonable. 20/10 stars.“
