My previous vet didnt seem to know how to handle doggie diabetes so I was looking for a place to help manage my dogs condition better. When I made the first appointment my dog was skin and bones with no sign of gaining weight and her sugars went all over the spectrum. We've been with Kalkaska Animal Hospital for maybe six months and the vet and vet techs have already figured out how to help her gain weight, manage her sugar, and help me understand why it fluctuated so much. Even though the staff is really busy they still manage to fit us in for regular blood test. They also manage to have a positive attitude and try to be kind in stressful situations. I love dr. Leigh she is a great vet. Her suggestions saved me lots if money. I love the way she cares for my 4 cats. She answers all questions honestly. Staff are very helpful & friendly. A shout out to Michelle love ya girl. I've been a member of this family for about 20 yrs, I wouldn't go anywhere else.
We experienced personal professional care, very compassionate informative staff, and show a great deal of respect during the unfortunate last moments. Those qualities alone are worth than I express and they provide this level of care at a cost below avg competitive rates, highly recommend.
