Sherri's is a local's joint, but not the kind of local's local joint where the record stops when you walk through the door. Friendly faces greet you with a warm smile. A slight din is ever present, as I'm almost certain the entire town comes to Sherri's for breakfast, talking about the weather, news, last night's game; whatever. The menu was full of the standard diner-delights, eggs, pancakes, burgers, sandwiches, but I happened across something called "potato sausage;" an apparent local favorite. So that's what I ordered. It's basically ground up potatoes with spices and stuffed into a sausage casing. It was really good. The texture was strange at first, but the rest was absolute deliciousness! Sherri's is clean, friendly, with a full diner menu. I'm sure there is something for everyone there. If you happen to be traveling across Michigan's UP, and are looking for a place to stop, Sherri's is a great option.“
