I am thirteen years old and I was VERY anxious about getting my ears pierced today. I had a great experience, much better than a girl at Claire's with a piercing gun for sure. I had Wayne. He showed me where he was going to pierce and asked if the placement was good, which was very nice. He explained how it would feel and it ended up barely hurting at all. Just a quick pinch like he said. Afterwards, I felt extremely sick and ended up hurling. All the staff there was very sweet and explained to me that it is EXTREMELY normal because of nerves and lowering blood sugar. So beyond happy with the piece I got done by Dominick. He was able to tattoo my aunts handwriting and it came out so beautiful! All of the lines are so clean and sharp. These words have so much meaning to me and Dominick not only did an amazing job but helped me connect forever with my aunt who passed away.
My piercing experience here was not the best. I did not feel like the piercer listened to what I was saying as I had a previous piercing in a nearby location. The experience felt very let’s get this done and over with.In my past piercings, the needle was the worst part. This time, even after the needle was through, it felt like something was being dug around inside.To top this all off - the piercing got infected despite not sleeping on it, keeping it dry and clean, using sterile saline to clean it, etc. Could be me, but it’s the first time in 32 years I’ve had a new piercing get infected like this.
