This letter is written to express gratitude to the people at The Medical Team Hospice for the remarkable and wonderful care given to my Mom in the last year of her life. She had always been a very healthy, vibrant person, and that strength was evident all during her hospice time. I am sure partly because of the compassionate care she received from all of you, she had a positive and pleasant attitude the whole time. Every person who ministered to my Mom was incredible. From Victoria who was her “Bather”, to Nikki and Sierra who are extraordinary nurses and friends, Ralph “the massage therapist”who sadly was not with us the whole time but who ministered to my Mom like she was his own Mom, and Taylor our social worker who was an immeasurable help, Marlae who came and played beautiful music for Mom weekly, and Chad The Chaplain who not only talked at Moms funeral but came to pray with Mom and on a regular basis, and Alison that works at the office always went above and beyond for all of our needs. The last day of Moms life, Nikki was her nurse. The loving care she received from her and the comfort she rendered to us was a rare gift. Sierra and Nikki were always responsive to my Moms needs!! The whole Team went above and beyond to care for my Mom! I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of the loving care provided for my wonderful Mom during the last year. And… the blessing of equipment and supplies provided is beyond belief! I love you all and if I forgot anyone just know we appreciate everything you did to make this transition peaceful. One final note. We had originally had a different Hospice group, and my Mom was not getting the care she needed. The facility that Mom was in suggested we change to The Medical Team Hospice. WOW what a difference!! Me not knowing anything about Hospice, I just knew my Mom wasn’t happy and something had to change.
