Spectrum Health Surgical Optimization Center at Blodgett Hospital

All new parking ramp, all new inside - it's very nice and pretty on this side of the hospital with very good signage. The staff was nice, and knowledgeable. There didn't seem to be many patients in the area I was in.

Directions on Google Maps got us there without a wrong turn as we don't know downtown Grand Rapids. We parked in the ramp within feet of the door to our Suite 200 destination.Greeter, receptionist, Nurse Raven and lab tech were all professional and helpful. My appointment for a pre-surgery check with Melanie Burghgraef, ANP, went very smooth. She didn't miss a thing and she completed my assessment professionally, as I felt listened to and cared for. I am thankful staff made my appointment less stressful.

Yesterday my father in law and I went in for a pre-surgery appointment for an upcoming surgery for him. We were initially greeted by Arthur (I believe that was his name, I apologize if I'm wrong) but he was very kind and got us checked in immediately. We were then called back by one of the nurses and I unfortunately do not remember her name, but she was awesome as well! Very kind, down to Earth, engaging...she just made you feel good and comfortable as these appointments can be nerve-wracking at times.
