The people at Grand Rapids Violins are great. I take all my violins and bows there now. Like most orchestra players, I have an expensive, pro-level instrument as well as a couple of much lesser, "sentimental" instruments. Grand Rapids Violins knows the difference - and I 100% trust them with both. For my pro instrument, cost is rarely the biggest concern. For my sentimental instruments, it's often the primary concern. They recently helped make one of these sentimental instruments usable for a very reasonable amount of money. They get it. I appreciate that so much.

Awesome experience from beginning to end. I personally am not a violin player but my daughter is. They took the time to explain to me what they would recommend and why. No pressure to do one thing over another. I loved the scheduled pick up which gave them time to explain what they did with no rush which allowed me to ask questions. Oh, had a mean americano as well! If I ever need more work an any of the string instruments we have I will go back.

Matt and Aubrey do a great job. Only luthiers i trust in the area. They do a lot of work for professional symphony players, have good prices for the quality and know what they're doing.
