The purpose of getting a home inpection is to know better what you're buying and to eliminate surprises, if possible. Furgeson Inspections was very good at doing that for us in our last home purchase in Houghton Lake. They confirmed the age and general condition of all the major systems of the house and identified some roofing damage and a poorly performing heating system. On Scott's recommendation, we got repair estimates from professional repair services for each problem area. Scott was easy to reach by phone, arrived as scheduled and was very friendly and open about what he was doing as he went through the inspection. His inspection report was detailed, included several photos, and was available online within just a few hours. I was very satisfied with this company and would highly recommend them.

We haven't moved on to the building stage yet, but all the upfront communication has been great. Robert has freely given me his time to discuss a project that we have been having much difficulty getting completed in a timely fashion. He sent us an informal proposal to do framing, sheeting, wrapping, window and door set, we supply the materials, Robert and crew to supply Labor/Equipment/Spot a Pot/Fasteners for around $28sqft cost. This is acceptable for quality workmanship, which I am anticipating this will be the case. We will update all transactions to our fellow Yelpers should we continue down the path with Robert and his team.

I got a cracked windshield on a recent trip downstate. I called Safelite and they quoted me $440 but would give me $20 off. Since I prefer to support local businesses I stopped by Thurston Glass...THEY DID IT FOR $194. And I've used them for glass and window repairs... nuff said.
