worst experience I have ever had at an eye doctor. the doctor was great. the lady "helping" me pick my glasses was the least helpful and nice person I've ever dealt with. she seemed bothered with helping me and me asking questions about prices. she didn't help me at all. i left feeling worse than when I walked in. I won't be coming back.
I recently moved to Gaylord and needed an optometrist, this place had 5 stars and was close to work so I decided to go there. I had a horrible experience through everything. Billing was the worst not only that the workers were not friendly. One lady specifically was loud and rude when I was explaining I would have never done the procedure/test if I would've known it wasn't required. No one told me it wasn't required, I thought it was a part of the new patient procedure and with my annual check up. Nope, it was another $60 added onto my bill. Along with that they charged me additional $40 for "showing" me how to put my contacts in... I have worn contacts for years therefore did not get taught how to put them in because I don't need to, I've worn them for years. Now on top of that they tried to charge me over $300 for like a years of contacts... something I do not need, nor asked for and was a little confused why I was being charged so much. All in all horrible experience, I will not be going back, and do not recommend to anyone. If I could give them zero stars I would.
Went there for about 4 years. The doctors are great. However, billing has charged us significantly more than they should have, according to my insurance rep. According to the insurance provider, these guys aren't billing it correctly for insurance that originates from out-of-state. When presented with info from the insurance company, and even once with the insurance rep on speaker-phone, they still haven't corrected the mistake. $100s of dollars later they have lost my business. Anybody who works for a corporation based out of state, check carefully that they bill everything correctly, or purchase in-state insurance.
