I have been doing my own taxes for about 10 years. I had lots of problems with the computer program this year because of some new tax issues I have. I tried Hauman Accounting at the recommendation of 2 people. Hauman was great. yes it cost just a bit more than doing the taxes by myself. Now it is just a BIT more. It was about $40 dollars more with all of the online fees and advertising that the do it yourself tax prep. software gives you now. I also have the peace of mind that a knowledgeable person that is up to date on the new tax laws is doing my taxes. will be a returning customer.

Very honest, trustworthy, and dependable. Makes payroll a breeze. Even when I have d*** questions, Stephanie and Mark answer them and educate me on the topic. I'm a client for life!

I worked in Europe half the year before moving to Michigan. Then I began working in a different city than I live in, starting in December. This made 2016's taxes a little complicated for me... Although Stephanie made it clear that international situations like this are not her strong point, we figured it out together quickly. She was open and patient filling out everything else for me, trying to save me whatever money she could. I felt like everything was well taken care of with her. This was very convenient; instead of sweating over the details myself, I was able to schedule a time with her within a week and she went through everything with me. When my check cleared, she filed all of my forms for me and gave me a neatly-packaged copy for my records. I think Hauman was cheaper than H&R Block would have been, but the latter didn't want to give me a quote until they'd looked at my information with a "specialist." I got my return within a couple weeks and I'd definitely run to Stephanie again if my taxes become complicated!
