About Plaza Veterinary Hospital
Plaza Veterinary Hospital, built in 1961, is Farmington's longest established veterinary hospital. The hospital focuses on providing quality veterinary care in a friendly, clean, and caring environment. It has been a member of the American Animal Hospital Association since 1966, and only 14% of all animal hospitals are AAHA accredited. The hospital is inspected to ensure it meets AAHA's high standards in various areas, including surgery, anesthesia, dentistry, and patient care. Clients have praised the hospital's team for their patience, care, and professionalism when treating their pets, including a skittish dog that needed surgery and a fiesty Maltipoo. The hospital has been a reliable choice for pet owners in the area. Recent reviews highlight the team’s kindness and thoroughness, such as the quick and inexpensive drainage of a fluid-filled cyst in a senior cat, which avoided a costly surgery. Many clients appreciate the staff’s helpful and trustworthy attitude, even when they have moved away but still choose to bring their pets here. The hospital has also cared for pets through difficult times, including checking on a 92# standard poodle with a tumor and helping owners make the tough decision to put her to sleep to relieve her pain. Overall, the hospital continues to be a trusted place for veterinary care, known for its compassionate and professional team.
The vets and staff are kind and compassionate. I have been bringing my cats and dogs here for over 25 years, and always feel like they are getting the best care. The vets take the time to explain what is going on, what options are available, and answer questions. The staff are amazing with my animals, and even my nervous dog is happy to go with them for nail trims and vaccines.
The wonderful Doctor Ast went above and beyond the call of duty to spend considerable time to research an off lable treatment to calm my pet for grooming. Based on his research, he prescribed the much needed medication.
I have been taking my crew to Plaza for years now. We have tried multiple vets in the area and this one is by far the best. The veterinarians are knowledgeable and are able to answer any questions or concerns. I feel welcomed, heard and understood. In addition, and most importantly, they treat my babies with so much love. I can honestly say the techs here are the best I've ever seen.
