“My massage experience with Raechel was great. She did a great job on my shoulder and back. Nice relaxing atmosphere.“
“I have had several massages with Bill and I always feel better afterwards. At first I went for tightness and pain, then I found out I had a balance disorder and he worked on my lymphatic system. Super nice guy, clean and comfortable office, I highly recommend! He does not have the ability to use plastic cards so you will need cash. (That's my missing 5th star.)“
“Dayna and Talen gave excellent massages! ✨ I highly recommend this place. Thank you both!“
“Daryl is a professional Masseuse, knowing where to find the knots and sore spots. Highly recommend!“
“Lisa was great! She is lively and is an adaptive instructor to cater towards people's varying previous experiences with yoga. Massages were incredible and she was able to craft my experience based on my preferred pressure level and personal areas of discomfort. I highly recommend!“
“Felt great after the manipulation of my shoulders and had better range of motion. Definitely recommend Advanced Clinical Massage of Holland.“
“My first visit to Ideal Bodyworks Massage, Christina was kind and professional upon my arrival and throughout my appointment. She asked about the specifics of my concerns and reason for my visit. She worked on the areas of concern & offered valuable information about stretches and other suggestions to try at home between appointments. She was forthright in her professional knowledge with goals and ideas to move forward with in my ongoing plan for pain management and healthy maintenance. I highly recommend Christina and Ideal Bodyworks Massage.“
“UPDATE: As she stated below in her response, Quinn did reach out to me after I sent her my concerns in an email. She did offer to return my Sunday fee and said she will be mailing that out to me. She did also offer an apology and validate our feelings about the experience, which I appreciate. I have updated my rating to 4 stars due to her quickly following up and doing what she logically could to make it up to us.
We got married last Sunday and the salon is closed that day, so in order to use them, we had to pay an extra $250 fee to have them come in. We decided to go with them anyway, because they are located right inside the Baker Events building, which is where our wedding was. I was in communication with Madison in the months leading up to our event and she was always pleasant and answered my questions. About two months ago she sent me a final schedule for everyone in the bridal party to get hair and makeup and had it set perfectly to have us done in time for our first look photos. Most of our bridal party arrived at 9am, some arriving for their services, per the schedule, and the rest of us to begin decorating for the wedding. Except when we got there, we were taken out of order and both of us brides were asked to get started right away, giving us no time to be involved in our decorating and having to call in friends to help, as our hair and makeup were slotted for 11am and 12pm, again per the schedule they had provided.
There were three girls there, Tida, Hannah, and Quinn, the owner. We really liked the makeup that Tida did and one bridesmaid loved her updo that Hannah did. Shockingly, when it came to the hair that the owner Quinn did, it totally missed the mark and she was the one that made us all feel like she was rushing to get through everyone so she could get out of there. She also wasn't really personable at all, almost like an "I'm better than you" vibe, but fortunately the other girls were nice and chatted with us.
My mom's hair looked flat and my wife's hair was supposed to be a low, side bun but instead the bun was higher up and in the center. She had these wire clips with jewels on them and one was apparently broken and instead of saying anything, she put the jewel back in the case and put the empty wire in her hair. For the front, she asked if she could trim the two long strands on either side of her head and my wife said yes, but they ended up getting chopped and were then just two flat, whispy strands.
To top it off, while the last bridesmaid was in getting her hair finished up, the owner started turning lights off in the salon. This was all before 12pm when we were scheduled to be in there until 1pm.
Later, when I happened to walk passed the salon again, I saw two of the girls in there doing each other's hair which left me feeling like if I hadn't paid $250 extra for you to come in, would you be in here doing this right now? All after rushing us through in under two hours, when the original schedule was for three, it felt like we were totally unappreciated as clients and mostly by the owner of all people.
Maybe if you're young, straight, and super cute you'll be treated differently?“
“Bella Vita Suites was the PERFECT solution to our vacation needs. We wanted to be close to the downtown Saugatuck area, wanted our privacy (so avoided the B&Bs) and affordability. The suites are directly on the main strip, just off a cute little alley way. I was so pleasantly surprised to have our own assigned parking space bc the parking in Saugatuck is difficult to find during those busy hours. We loved the modern room decor, the fact that we had a fridge & microwave for our delicious leftovers, and the spacious dual shower head shower was so nice! I have no complaints about our stay. The only detail I'd like to share with others is that parking is tight in the lot, so if you are able to travel with a smaller vehicle, you'd have an easier time parking, but we made it work with our 3rd row SUV. Again, we were just happy to have our own parking space! Definitely recommend BV Suites!!
Rooms: Beautiful rooms...7 suites available. We stayed in the Florenzia and loved it.
Nearby activities: Delicious food, drinks, boutiques and shops...ice cream shops galore. The Star of Saugatuck Boat cruises, local tasting rooms - Fennville Winery, New Holland Distillery, Coppercraft, Mitten Brewing. 20 minute drive south east to Fennville for Horseback riding at Wild West Ranch and other wineries, breweries, etc. 20 minutes north east to Holland. Many, many options!
Safety: We felt very safe given the digital key pad off the alley and then another door with another keypad once upstairs, and then finally, our 3rd keypad to enter our room. The many levels of security between all those doors gave a nice sense of security during our stay. Only suggestion would be to add a safe in the room as well for valuables.
Walkability: You can walk the entire downtown strip and surrounding areas in under 10 minutes from BV. Extremely walkabe.
Food & drinks: Sooo many amazing options within a few minutes of walking. Perfect location.“
“Nancy did an incredible job! She was so knowledgeable and really worked out my problem areas. I would highly recommend her and hope to schedule again with her when I’m back in the area!“
