New to the area and called to see what their availability was for a women's cut. The woman who answered the phone was very unpleasant. I wasn't even sure I called the correct place as she never stated the salon name. When I asked for an appointment she said "okay...well who do you work with what do you want." and when I said I would be a new client she very rudely asked if I was aware that the location moved and if I was sure I was calling the right place. I apologized and quickly ended the call. If this was the experience trying to become a new client I can't imagine what treatment actual clients face.
Went in for a toner, trim, and curtain bangs. Toner was awful literally as warm as it could POSSIBLY get I am not exaggerating it was copper. I asked for cool toned. The women were talking to each other about how they're out of the colors I wanted, I know a bit about hair and the tones they originally wanted to use (T18 on my brown hair.. doesn't work like that guys) so I knew it would be downhill from there. She wouldn't let me finish explaining how I wanted my hair, kept cutting me off the second she heard a word that she thought she knew what I meant. I have black box dye on my ends. I asked if she had experience with lightening that type of hair because it gets damaged very easily and my prior hairdresser fried off over 10 inches of hair, I was worried and just wanted to be assured. I was as kind as could be the entire time and she has a nastyyy attitude and acted like she knew everything about hair when in fact she knew very little. She scoffed and told me she's been doing hair for 12 years. (hint: when an old person around 55 tells you this DO NOT TRUST THEM that means they are extremely old fashioned and are not caught up with modern hair techniques, colors, cut, style or anything.) You will not receive a modern haircut from an old hairdresser. Please go to someone around 23-27 if you want up to date talent. I asked for curtain bangs, you know, the very trendy bangs that everyone wants. Like I said she cut me off any time I tried to explain, I said a few words about wanting to cut curtain bangs and mud sentence she swooped in with scissors and CUT FKNG BANGS I started freaking out obviously, I had waist length hair that I loved. These horrendous bangs were not curtain shape, flowy, or blended. They were straight across. She would not cut them to the length I wanted. They were uneven as hell and she wouldnt fix them. Another client started cutting her own hair when the hairdresser walked away after letting her know it was uneven, I thought she was crazy at the time but now I see after having to do the same thing to myself... I came back to get it fixed, big mistake, it turned out worse than before. She knew she did not do a thing I asked. She was not listening to anything I said, I eventually just shut my eyes and started quietly crying because she was so mean and was fkng up my beautiful hair. I was calm, sweet, toooo understanding and let too many things slide. I was not dramatic I was really upset that I had someone ruining my hair and wouldn't listen to me. She started YELLING at me and said I can't do this because if someone else that "wasn't as talented as her" (goooood one ) saw me they would get nervous and ruin me hair and it would be all my fault. Both visits she kept calling me high maintenance and complicated and other weird words that did not apply to me at all and anyone that knows me knows this. Lady was so fkng weird. Anyways 2nd apt she kept getting the color wrong and kept trying to wash it out, blow dry, and pull on my hair so many times until I permanently lost hair on my bang area. (it's been about 7 months and still thin and patchy) so paid over $200 for a horrible experience and ruined hair. No surprise she charged me full price to get it fixed. My friend had a very. similar experience with the hair dresser fkng up, friend coming in to get it fixed, fkd it up more, charged her full price again, and was so so rude. We both had to pay for an actual talented hairdresser to fix her mistakes after. Please just go somewhere with young, up to date, kind stylists.
Aida did my hair, I feel alive again! She did a absolutely fantastic job. She knows exactly what you want if you know what you want! She is caring & great energy. Highly recommend!
