“When it's summer and your A/C stops working, there are some things you can try yourself to fix it. But, this is the first time I've ever had a merchant try to help me over the phone for free. He first asked, "Are you pretty handy?" I said I was. So, at 5:30 on a Sunday evening, he walked me through a few things that might have helped. He told me that he likes helping people over the phone if he can. Wow.

It turned out that expert help was needed, and he was there the next day. He got the system working, temporarily, then came back the next day to put a control module in. It wasn't cheap, because of the control module, but the price was reasonable.

Before he left, he asked if I cleaned off the AC unit outside. I told him I did it last year, but apparently I didn't do a good job. You can spend a lot of money with electrical bills if you're not careful about cleaning the fins. That alone made his visit worth it.
