This place is the bomb! I have lived all over the country, but mostly Metro Detroit, Colorado and So Cal. My experience moving back again 10 years ago was that it was way easier to find a great stylist in So Cal than in Metro Detroit. Most disappointing was that many MI stylists were charging bigger-city rates but were generally not providing the service or talent levels to match. On a splurge about 4 years ago, I saw the reviews for William and thought I would try out Nude to see if throwing even more money at my hard-to-style hair would make a difference. I can tell you it absolutely did! William gave me the best cut and color I'd had in years :-) But then my health and finances took a turn for the worse and I just couldn't justify the large spend on my hair. I spent a couple years going to a popular local shop in Rochester that was functional, but a little hit or miss. Then last year I "found" some extra income and wanted to head back to Nude -- only this time I had gone too long and it was a long wait to see William. So I asked to see Josh who I'd also seen mentioned in reviews. And Wow, just like that, great hair again! William was great, but Josh is just a much better fit for me. That said, this is the type of salon where you could see any stylist and come home looking great...I love watching the other stylists while I am here and see all the amazing hair styles. Other reviewers have written about what a great salon atmosphere Nude has, and I have to totally agree! Even the receptionist is a so incredibly nice, genuinely kind and welcoming! And Josh, is THE BEST! Such a great person and so incredibly good at his craft. He pays attention to me, my hair, and my lifestyle while engaging in engaging, easy conversation. He is obviously one of those people who treats everyone well. I also appreciate that while he has an assistant part of the time, he never just passes me off to her. I love that (unlike some other "pro" stylists) he still does my shampoo and blow-outs himself. He is worth every dollar of the 50% more I pay to see him, even if it means I have to save elsewhere or may not be able to see him as often as I'd like. I've been to Josh three times now and the cut and color are always amazing -- he always makes me look like the best looking me! I know he can take care of younger clients as well, just check out the photos. But I don't want to look like I am trying to be 25 again (because I don't actually want to be 25 again) anymore than I want to look like I'm 70. I can personally recommend Josh to anyone in their 50s like me who is dealing with grays and changes in hair texture, who wants to both maintain and transition peacefully while still looking like you have naturally beautiful hair!

This place by far has the best balayage in town! I’ve tried dozens of salons that no matter the pictures you see on Instagram do not match what they do to you. That changed with Ricki he is gifted and has an increíble eye for coloring and cutting hair! The salon is expensive but worth it. Love this place and couldn’t recommend moreServices: Hairstyling
