I had a great experience with Doug King from Pro Energy Consultants. He was professional, knowledgeable, and extremely thorough during our home energy audit. He explained everything in a clear and easy-to-understand way, and he took the time to answer all of my questions. The blower door test he conducted really highlighted the biggest opportunities for improving the efficiency and comfort of our home. I wish I would have done this sooner!

We have a cape cod home in Milan and have always had an issue with the second floor being very hot in summer and very cold in the winter. A few years ago I had an audit performed by a company through a DTE program. In the end all they suggested was to maybe think of window replacement and add insulation to the attic spaces. I recently had Doug King come out and perform a energy audit and I can say that I am very glad I did not waste my time and money listening to the other company years ago. Doug King saved me money, and helped me greatly improve my house. When we purchased our home, built in 1985, we noticed that it felt breezy. Couldn't figure out why, found PEC through DTE. Doug came out and did a blower door test, then walked around with a thermal camera. The whole time discussing improvements that can be made. Then received a detailed email of possible improvements, and their possible savings. Over the next 12 months I worked on my house, improving these issues. Saving my receipts. Then Doug came back, did the same tests again, saw my improvements, picked up my receipts, and helped me fill out some rebate forms. Couple weeks later I got $370 in rebated...read full review
