Highly recommend for local Ann Arborites looking for a reliable Pilates studio. Professional, Kind and Knowledgeable. I enjoy both the private and group classes (which are an intimate size of 4). I feel stronger and enjoy being in the community setting.
At age 48, I decided that I wanted to train for a half-marathon. This was a somewhat improbable goal as I had never run more than 5 or 6 miles and was very prone to injury. A friend suggested that I work with Tamara toward this goal, and it turned out to be great advice. Tamara helped me avoid injury, and even more importantly enjoy running in a way I never had before. She focused on what my body could do, not on what it couldn't, steadily building capacities and confidence along the way. I suffered from chronic pain my whole adult life. After a constant cycle of physical therapists, occupational therapists, and physicians, someone recommended that I see Tamara Aprea. She referred to Tamara as "the body whisperer." She said she had never met anyone with such a deep knowledge of body mechanics. And it was all true!
