I was in York at the beginning of August for a vacation. Lost my glasses to a rogue wave. Spent hours calling different places to try to get my glasses filled and everyone either sent me to voicemail or said no and hung up. Called York Family Eye Care just to SEE if they knew of anyone who could maybe same day fill my glasses. They asked for my prescription and within 5 minutes they called me back saying they actually had some glass with my prescription in it. Got me set up and in a new pair of glasses that night within 30 minutes. Even let me watch how the lenses get cut. Very friendly staff, very sincere too. I got a piece of charcoal in my eye and it was super uncomfortable. I called York Eyecare and they got me in within two hours and got the charcoal out of my eye ASAP. Not only that, they entertained my seven month old and four-year-old daughters while I saw the doctor during this time as well as the precious appointment for my eye test. The staff is wonderful.
Like many others, I lost my glasses in the ocean! Dr. Pelletier and his team were extremely helpful and resolved the situation quickly and free of charge. What's more, Dr.Pelletier served me in French. Many thanks!
