This place is wonderful! I had a parrot emergency last week. I could find no local vet to help. (including one who I am a client of ). I called YVC ; they didn’t know me at all, but they graciously arranged for the birds to be seen between scheduled visits 2 days hence. They treated me like a long-time client, took care of the birds, and gave me a discount because I am a rescue! I have operated Siesta Sanctuary for parrots in Harmony, Me, 2 hours north of Yarmouth since 1999. Finding veterinary help anywhere near has been an eternal problem. My daughter discovered our beloved elderly dog Jack unable to get up when she got home from school and we knew it was time to say goodbye as he was in pain. Our regular vet could not get him in that day (Friday afternoon) and I called at least 5 other vets who couldn't see him. Finally I called YVC and they told us to bring him in right away, even though we were not regular clients and they had a full calendar. I can not express how much you should bring your animal here! As soon as you walk through the door, you can feel everyone's individual care for what they're doing and how passionate they are. The Vets and vet tech's make you feel so comfortable and it truly feels like they're giving your animal the best care, and also inform you on every thing! Making the switch was the BEST CHOICE EVER!!
