Westbrook Animal Hospital is a small animal hospital that operates by appointment only. Many long-term patients appreciate the excellent care and improvement in services over the years. The kind and compassionate team is highly praised for their support during difficult times, making it a valued choice for pet care, even for those who travel a distance. Dr. Friel and his staff are amazing people who truly care about each animal that comes through their door. They have helped many clients through sad and difficult times with thoughtful words and great service, surpassing other veterinary practices. The hospital is reasonably priced and provides quality care for pets.
Words cannot express how grateful I am to them. I’ve had many vets and they are incredibly nice and old school. My male cat had urinary blockade and they got me in the same day, flushed him out, took care of them through the holidays (5 days) and didn’t charge me an arm or leg. Please don’t listen to the negative reviews. They wouldn’t be happy with any vets! I’m so grateful to have such a caring vet still around in the neighborhood.
The staff here really care about animals—best vet I’ve ever had. So far I have been here for routine exams for my dog, and also an injury that she received playing. They are very conscientious of the cost of getting care, and are good at balancing your pet’s well-being with not running up a bill to perform unnecessary tests. I can’t say the same for other area vets, Westbrook Animal Hospital is on a different level. Their prices are reasonable and their staff are wonderful.

Cosmo was very sick, he needed immediate emergency care. The vet here, and techs were very nice. They saved Cosmo and worked with me on the bill. Thank you guys.
